Pricing policy for events at the Théâtre de l'Essentiel

New this season is the expansion of our offerings with the opening of the L'ESSENTIEL theater. In addition to our usual free programming that you are already familiar with, paid shows will also be available.

 

Our pricing policy for these paid shows is based on a single preferential rate for 95% of this programming: A general admission price of €12. Only a few exceptional shows will be subject to special pricing.

 

This single rate will be disconnected from stage costs and the artists' fame. It thus abolishes any hierarchy of economic value and symbolism between works.

 

ESSENTIEL offers everyone equal access at the minimum price. The expected effect of this type of pricing is that the majority of the public will choose their outings based on the trust they place in the team and the venue, building an emotional relationship with the cultural operator rather than a simple consumer relationship.

 

We are betting on high attendance rather than high ticket prices. It is the large numbers of people attending all events, generating significant ticket sales, that will ensure the financial stability of the project.
